Everbuild Fire Mate Intumescent Sealant White 295ml

Everbuild Fire Mate is a one part, emulsion acrylic based intumescent and acoustic sealant that gives a firm yet flexible seal to joints in fire rated structures. When exposed to temperatures above 125 degrees C the sealant swells to more than 150 percent of its original size, creating a char that resists the passage of fire and smoke for up to 4 hours in suitably designed joints.

The white 295ml cartridge is non-slump and easy to tool off, tack free in 15 minutes with a full cure in 3 to 5 days, and needs no priming on most construction substrates. It works in joints up to 50mm wide with movement of plus or minus 7.5 percent, can be overpainted once cured, and its selected fillers give an average noise reduction of 24dB for sound deadening. For interior use. Used for sealing joints in fire walls and pointing around fire rated door frames where an intumescent acoustic seal is required.
